How to Register
Please follow the steps below to complete your enrollment for the Acting Fundamentals Class and/or the Cold Read Workshop in April and May of 2026:

Read the Class Descriptions, Policies, and Liability Waiver & Release listed on this page.
Step 2
Complete and submit the Registration Form below.
Step 3
After submitting the form, submit your payment via Venmo (info below the form).
Please include in your Venmo note:

Registration is not considered complete until payment is received.
Step 4
Once both your form and payment have been received, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 to 72 hours confirming your enrollment.
Liability Waiver & Release
By registering for and participating in this class, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that acting classes, workshops, rehearsals, and related activities may involve physical movement, vocal exertion, emotional expression, and interactive exercises. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Tesia Nicoli, the hosting theatre company (Between the Lines Studio Theatre), its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, affiliates, and the facility owner and operators from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to injury, illness, emotional distress, property damage, or other loss that may occur as a result of my participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I affirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating and agree to take full responsibility for my own safety and conduct.
I understand that neither the instructor nor the theatre is responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
I acknowledge that class fees are non-refundable unless the class is canceled by the organizer.
By submitting this form, I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older and that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these terms.
Media Release
By enrolling in this/these program(s), I grant permission for photographs or video recordings taken during class to be used for promotional purposes unless I notify the instructor in writing.

Acting Fundamentals
for Stage and Screen
Tuesdays, April 7–28 | 6:30–8:30 PM
Hosted at Between the Lines Studio Theatre in Allentown, PA

Step into a focused, encouraging space where actors build real skills through practice, feedback, and repetition.
Acting Fundamentals for Stage and Screen is a four-week training course designed for adults at any experience level. Whether you are brand new to acting or looking to sharpen your craft, this class gives you practical tools you can use immediately in rehearsals, auditions, and performances.
Each week blends hands-on exercises with scene work, monologues, and improv so you learn by doing, not just by listening.
You will work on:
- Scene work and monologues
- Character development
- Improvisation and spontaneity
- Overcoming inhibitions and self-consciousness
- Relaxation and focus techniques
- Audition preparation, including cold reads and monologues
- Common industry terms and professional practices
Ideal for:
- First-time actors who want a supportive starting point
- Experienced performers who want to stay sharp
- Anyone looking to build confidence, presence, and expressive skills
This course is intentionally designed to be taken more than once. Exercises and material change each session, so returning actors continue to grow.
Enrollment is capped at 15 actors to allow for personalized coaching and feedback.

Cold Read Workout:
Sharpen Your Audition and Script Reading Skills
Saturday, May 2 | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
(20-minute lunch break)

Hosted at Between the Lines Studio Theatre in Allentown, PA
Instructor: Tesia Nicoli
Cold reads are the most common audition format and often the most intimidating.
This one-day intensive workshop is designed to remove that fear and replace it with confidence, clarity, and technique.
You will practice reading from scripts you have never seen before while learning exactly how to break down material quickly, make strong choices, and present yourself like a prepared professional, even with no preparation time.
This workshop includes:
- Script breakdown techniques you can use in seconds
- Guided cold read exercises
- Character development strategies on the fly
- What to do and what not to do in auditions
- Individual feedback from the instructor and peers
Open to beginners and experienced actors alike.
Enrollment is capped at 12 actors to keep the experience focused and personal.
Tuition: $95 per student
